It was a day to remember for the Mamelodi Sundowns team as they cruised to a 2-0 win over their opponents, Clermont in their last league game of the season. The match was played at the Moroka Swallows Stadium on Sunday afternoon. The first goal came from midfielder, Boudaoui who scored his second goal of the season with a well-taken header in the 41st minute. The goal was a result of a cross from the right flank by Ramadani Ntshangase which Boudaoui headed home with aplomb. In the second half, the visitors doubled their lead through another goal from Ramdani Ntshangase. This time he converted a penalty kick after being brought down by the goalkeeper. Despite not scoring himself, Ramdani had an excellent game and was one of the standout players on the pitch. His work rate, dribbling ability and finishing were all on display during the game. The victory puts Mamelodi Sundowns in a strong position going into the final few matches of the season. They now have a comfortable gap at the top of the table and will be looking to maintain their form throughout the rest of the campaign. Overall, it was a fantastic performance from the team, especially considering that they were playing against a strong opponent. The fans were delighted with the result and the team will be hoping to continue this form in their remaining games. |
