Strasbourg has emerged as the Ligue 1 Round 32 winner after securing a crucial victory against Nice.

The match saw Strasbourg come out on top with a hard-fought performance that saw them dominate possession and control the game from start to finish.

The French side's attacking prowess was evident in their pressing play, with striker Christian Benteke scoring twice in the first half to give his side a commanding lead.

However, the visitors came back strong in the second half and managed to level the score through a penalty shootout after being awarded a free-kick inside the box.

Despite this setback, Strasbourg continued to push for a win and were able to secure the victory thanks to a goal from midfielder Yannick Vidal who scored from the spot.

"It is great to be back at home and playing well," said Strasbourg coach Jean-Luc Gourvennec. "We showed a lot of character throughout the game and it's pleasing to have won."

With the victory, Strasbourg moved up to fourth place in the table, while Nice remained bottom of the standings with a loss to Lyon.

Strasbourg will now look to continue their strong form against stronger opposition next week in their final league fixture of the season.
